This position paper is part of the ene.field project (European-wide field trials for residential fuel cell micro-CHP). Europe’s largest demonstration project for FC- based micro-CHP (fuel cell based micro combined heat and power) systems.
The aim is to give an insight in the current status of grid connections; to the power and the natural gas grids as well as connections to building for a number of European countries. This includes standards, legislations, connection guidelines and issues. A micro-CHP produces both heat and power to supply a single household up to small commercial buildings with all or parts of their heat and power demand.
