Moving forward

The ene.field project successfully installed its first micro fuel cell-based combined heat and power units in EU homes in September 2013, signalling progress towards the target of installing 1,000 units over the course of the project period.

Information materials have also been translated into different languages to allow householders to understand how this new technology works.

The FCH-JU Review Days took place on 11 and 12 November 2013 in Brussels. The aim of the Review Days was to take stock of the FCH-JU programme’s achievements so far and to share experiences of the projects managed within the framework of the programme.

Ene.field was chosen to feature in a presentation of selected key projects of the FCH-JU programme. Project Coordinator Dr. Fiona Riddoch presented the main achievements and developments. See the presentations here.

In the framework of the ene.field project, regional workshops are being held in various member states that are deploying the units. The workshops aim to raise awareness of the potential of FC micro-CHP and to build up local/regional energy efficiency industry networks.

The first workshops took place in Spain (Zaragoza) and Germany (Düsseldorf). These were a great success, and further workshops are planned in Italy, Norway and the UK.
