DONG Energy is one of the leading energy groups in Northern Europe, with headquarters in Denmark. Yearly turnover (2012) 9 billion € and 7000 employees. DONG engages in procuring, producing, distributing, and trading in energy and related products in northern Europe. It supplies energy to approximately 1.2 million customers by production of oil and gas, and is a market leader within constructing and operating offshore wind farms and among the best in Europe at using biomass in electricity and heat production. The company has been involved in development work for fuel cells the last two decades. DONG Energy’s primary role in this project will be contribution to WP 3 and to test micro CHP units fed by green gases. Initially this will be biogas and biomethane. DONG Energy intends to support the demonstration of a minor number of these units on “Green Gas”.  The “Green gas” might as an example be raw biogas, either partly or fully upgraded biogas.
